All packed and ready to go.

Hello everyone.

So this weekend was spent sorting through all my kit (old and new) to decide finally which items had passed the test and made it onto the active list, and what kit was backup.

The final list i have posted below for any gear freaks, I still need to sort out my food.

Here is a pic of just the minimum kit (not including food, and other bits that i will take as extras:

And here is it all packed up, the yellow pack and red kit bag are my stuff for the race (the kit bag will hold spare stuff and be taken to the first checkpoint). The box and other pack, as well as the water container will go into the van where my lovely friends Cathy and Jeff will meet me at a few points along the race.

Still a bit early for a reliable weather forecast, but long range ones point to snow and night temperatures down to -6.

I have plenty of warm stuff so all good. Just need to get my head into gear now.

  1. So well organised - and I'm sure your prep for the race is at a similarly high standard. Run safe, run smart, and run strong.

  2. Looking like you're well-prepared. I do enjoy a good kit blog. It looks very similar to my list from when I entered (and then withdrew last minute from!) the Spine.
Enjoy the challenge - I'll be following your dot!
